Lionel Richie in concert during the Monte-Carlo Sound Sessions: two concerts in two locations with an international superstar!

Lionel Richie, a true living legend whose name and mythical melodies are all it takes to get the crowd going, will be performing not for one but two unmissable concerts in early November at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and at Sporting Monte-Carlo.

Lionel Richie Monte-Carlo Sound Sessions

After a successful career with The Commodores in the 70s, Lionel Richie became a superstar during the following decade with his soulful, funky ballads.

Just like a modern storyteller, Lionel Richie enriched popular culture with hit singles such as “Say You, Say me”, “Easy”, “Still”, “Hello”, “All Night Long (All Night)” or the unforgettable “We are the World”.
These songs are often associated with highlights in the lives of his fans, thanks to a sound that draws from multiple influences: classical music, country music, gospel and R&B.

During his two concerts in Monaco for Monte-Carlo Sound Sessions, Lionel Brockman Richie Jr. will present his new album, Tuskegee, which is the name of the town in Alabama where he grew up.

This “coming home” or “return to his musical roots” features reinterpretations of thirteen of his previously released international hits, each performed with a different guest artist.
In this way, he revisits with sincerity and a fresh perspective “My Love” with Kenny Chesney, “Sail on” with Tim McGraw, “Endless Love” with Shania Twain and “Lady” with Kenny Rogers.
