This auction provides the unique opportunity to easily select paintings, drawings, prints, antiques, jewellery, sculptures and bronzes. Highlights to the auction include a large Collection of ART NOUVEAU objects and original works by:Picasso, Dali, Magritte, De Chirico, Alechinsky, Corneille, Carpeaux, Warhol and Graham Sutherland.

 

Bronzes to include a bust by Antoine Bourdelle (1861-1929). Bourdelle is one of the pioneering sculptors of 20th Century monumental sculpture. His work is collected internationally. Jean Baptiste Carpeaux a sculptor and painter. He studied in Rome finding inspiration in the works of Michelangelo, Donatello and Verrocchio. He gained many notable commissions. Henri Duvieux (1855-1920) recorded scenes of Venice and Constantinople throughout his career in this instance ‘Constantinople’ is selected, oil on canvas. Two timeless drawings by Umberto Boccioni ‘Figure feminine’ and ‘Study of a horse’ are lovely examples. Fornasetti (1913–1988) is included; showing ‘Gueridon’, lithograph. He was a Milanese painter, sculptor and interior decorator. A good example of Mario Schifano (1934 -1998) is a mixed media work, Italian painter and collagist of the postmodern tradition. ‘China’ a pastel on paper by Gino Severini is available (1883-1966) an Italian painter and leading member of the futurist movement. Neo-classicism, worked in a variety of media including mosaic and fresco. Mario Sironi, an Italian modernist artist (1885-1961) exhibited internationally, in this case oil on canvas, ‘Case’. The two collages ‘Ladies of the Chorus’ and ‘Beautiful prey’ by Mimmo Rotella, are by the Italian artist best known for his decollage images made from advertising posters. The Spanish highlight to the sale is a collection of 33 drawings by Leonardo Alenza; he was the first student to Goya. Two highly acclaimed Russian artists included in the auction are Alexandre Benois and Paolo Troubetzkoy.

Presented, as one lot is a rare variety of gold and silver snuffboxes, portrait miniatures and vinaigrettes engraved and stamped. As another separate Lot are 17 stamps, silver, in good condition.

Finally, but not last is the special selection of French wines. Highlights of this cellar are, Les Châteaux: Cheval Blanc, Latour, Haut-Brion, Margaux, Mouton –Rothschild and more. From a private cellar, these wines have been carefully preserved. There are 35 lots in total.
