Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer joins the “Monaco Walks for the Climate” initiative on 29 November 2015

 

Deeply committed to implementing sustainable development policies for several years now, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group is joining Monaco Walks for the Climate, organised on the initiative of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, founder of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

 

With the COP21 conference on climate change starting shortly, this Walk aims to raise public awareness of the future challenges facing the planet and generations to come, topics that will be discussed during this conference. Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is committed and encouraging all personnel and representatives to participate.

 

Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer signed its second environmental guidelines in 2014, reinforcing its pro-environmental sustainable development policy with an actively responsible approach.

 

Since 2007, the Imprim’vert ecological printing certification assures the implementation of environmentally friendly practices.

 

Since June 2013, the Ecocert certification for the gourmet restaurant Elsa of the Monte-Carlo Beach Relais & Châteaux highlights the decision for this business to use Level 3 100% organically farmed products. Chef Paolo Sari offers entirely organic menus that promote local production.

 

On 23 April 2014, the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort has become, along with the Monte-Carlo Beach Relais et Châteaux, one of the first two hotel establishments in Monaco to receive the Green Globe certification.

 

In November 2014, Relais & Châteaux awarded the Environment Trophy to the Monte-Carlo Beach.

 

On 9 May 2015, Monaco’s electric and gas company, SMEG, awarded the e+ énergie positive Trophy to Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer for providing electricity from guaranteed Egeo renewable energy sources.

 

Finally, in July 2015, the restaurant Le Vistamar became the first partner restaurant in the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group’s Mr. Goodfish programme. Along with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the restaurant is committed to promoting the responsible consumption of sea products and seafood.

 

In November 2015, the Monte-Carlo Beach Relais et Châteaux achieved the 3-star “sustainability champion status” of the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
