Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer reveals its latest Creation in Augmented Reality

 
 

For the IMEX trade show in Frankfurt, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer presents Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo as it has never been seen before: in virtual reality.

Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, the flagship of Société des Bains de Mer, proposes a latest generation 3D experience. The virtual visit, made possible by use of a facemask, creates an authentic and exceptional tour in a 360° panoramic film. The device, which consists of a digital flat screen positioned only a few centimetres away from the eyes, is programmed with recorded views of all directions of the hotel and can detect head motion with additional sensors.

 

Samsung Gear technology, partnered with the expertise of Panocam3D and Adastra, gives users the possibility of exploring Hotel Hermitage through virtual reality, as if they were really there, and thus provides a first glance of the Monte-Carlo experience. The visit, guided by Alice Gentils – Sales Director of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer – begins in the hotel lobby and transports the user through a bedroom and through meeting rooms located throughout the site.

 

This new communication tool is specifically targeted at customers in the tourism business who want to discover Hotel Hermitage from wherever their location in the world may be. The virtual development is now part of the group’s technological innovation and movement towards a more modern and advanced direction.
