Pavillons des MerveillesDuring a major real estate and urbanisation development orchestrated by the Société des Bains de Mer, in 2018, the Sporting d’Hiver will be replaced by a three part building project, combining shops, luxury apartments, office, leisure and culture spaces.
The project has been entrusted to the offices of Lord Richard Rogers, one of contemporary architecture and urbanisms major contributors


For the 4-year duration of construction, architect Richard Martinet has designed an ephemeral construction, unique in its kind, in the Boulingrins Gardens on Casino Square. 


The project will also accommodate luxury shops in 5 rounded futuristic pavilions shaped as pebbles, covered by off-white coloured shells: « Les Pavillons des Merveilles ».

With aesthetics and respect of the environment for the duration of the site in mind, the studio movingdesign conceptualises an unique and original fencing will welcome Monegasques and visitors into the magical destination of the future shops, called « Les Pavillons des Merveilles » (The Pavilion of Marvels).


On either side of the construction site, two large LED displays measuring over 10×2,50 m represent tomorrow’s shop windows, and welcome the luxury brands involved in the project, which in turn will bring life to the Société des Bains de Mer’s future Pavillons Merveilleux.. 

From December 12th 2013 until January 31st 2014, the most sought after LVMH group brands will launch the world premiere of the concept, seizing the occasion to entice the spectator into a glamorous and prestigious universe located in the heart of Monaco.
