He was born in Monaco in 1978. The Monaco native’s passion for cooking became known at an early age.

As a Monaco hotel school graduate and native Mediterranean, Eric Guillemaud was immersed in southern cooking and culture, rich in colours and originality.

He was trained in the Monte-Carlo SBM Group, first at the traditional cooking school at the Hôtel de Paris, then in healthy cuisine at L’Hirondelle, the Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo restaurant.

He then perfected his know-how in two luxury hotels: the 5-star Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad, known for its refined gastronomy, and the Résidence de la Pinède (2 stars in the Michelin Guide), a prestigious and exotic establishment.

His love for his native Monaco and the desire to share his rich experience drove Eric Guillemaud to Monaco to put his talent to work at the Sporting Monte-Carlo and the Casino de Monte-Carlo restaurants.

When the Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo opened, he was made Executive Chef of the restaurant where he demonstrates his own distinctive culinary savvy. Eric Guillemaud revisits nouvelle cuisine with passion and modernity, offering elaborate and inspired recipes that not only titillate the palate but are also pleasing to the eye.
