Stephen Richard is a British singer-songwriter, known as the guitarist of the band GENESIS from 1971 to 1977. A pioneer of the progressive genre, his electric guitar playing based on an ethereal and experimental sound, favoring harmony and musicality over technical demonstration. This is how he developed a very particular poetic, offbeat and dreamlike sound universe, specific to his solo career, which he began in 1975 and produced landmark and critically acclaimed albums such as Selling England By The Pound (a favorite of John Lennon).
Absent from touring for (too) long, he released a new edition of his Genesis Revisited album in 2013 that reawakened the passion of his fans and gave him a renewed taste for feverish touring around the world.
In 2019, Steve's live performances reach their peak and Hackett plays to sold-out crowds throughout this tour in which he merges the albums Mornings, Selling England By The Pound and At The Edge Of Light.
At the height of his career and to critical acclaim, Hackett announced the 2021 tour of the Genesis live album Seconds Out, recorded at a concert at the Palais des Sports in Paris in June 1977.
