Django Reinhardt was the reason he decided to play guitar at age of eighteen. After having learned his skills with the best gypsy jazz musicians in Saint-Ouen flea market, Thomas Dutronc quickly started his musician career. His first collaboration was with his father, Jacques Dutronc, in 95. Composer, actor, producer of soundtracks… Thomas develops his music with a wide range of artistic choices. He performs as a guitarist in various jazz clubs in Paris and releases his first album Comme un manouche sans guitar in 2007; he also emerges as a singer the same year.

"La Vie en rose", "C'est si bon", "La Belle vie", "Les Feuilles mortes" or "La mer", are french songs that crossed the Atlantic to return with an English version sung by Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin or even Nina Simone… In Frenchy, Thomas reinvents and modernizes 14 French songs with retro and funky colors. He performs them in French and / or English, in duo, in trio with prestigious guests from rock, punk, jazz, pop such as Iggy Pop, Diana Krall, Billy Gibbons (from ZZ Top), Jeff Goldblum, Haley Reinhart...
Frenchy is a whole life that swings, as a successful, delicate, educated, elegant and world-class adventure.
