Selah Sue & The Gallands
The queen of Belgian soul-pop is back with *Movin’*. A vibrant, sunny, and liberating album created with the father-son duo The Gallands, it invites listeners to let go and keep moving.
Born in Leuven, Sanne Putseys chose her stage name while listening to the song “Selah” by Lauryn Hill, one of her key inspirations alongside Erykah Badu, M.I.A., and Bob Marley.
Since her self-titled debut album *Selah Sue*, released in 2011, the singer-songwriter has showcased her husky voice and her unique blend of soul, hip-hop, funk, and reggae.
No sooner had her first live album, *As One*, been released in December 2025 than the singer unveiled a brand-new project. This album was born from her natural and inspired collaboration with The Gallands, the family duo consisting of jazz drummer Stéphane Galland and his son Elvin, who is himself a keyboardist, producer, musical director, and composer.
From their electrifying encounter at the Jazz Middelheim festival in Antwerp came the desire to write together and the album *Movin’*. Released in March 2026, the album was conceived as a group project and showcases the chemistry between the three artists.
Blending organic groove, the freedom of improvisation, and the warmth of soul-pop, the album captures a deeply live energy, enriched by acoustic instruments. It was mixed by Russell Elevado, a leading figure in contemporary soul who has previously worked on albums by Alicia Keys, D’Angelo, and Jon Batiste.
Through these songs, Selah Sue recounts her personal journey from darkness to light and rediscovers a creative serenity fueled by the collective.
The trio comes to share this musical chemistry and the joy of performing live in the stunning setting of the Salle Garnier.
Tyreek McDole
The Haitian-American singing prodigy, who made his name on the New York scene, captivates audiences with his intense jazz infused with Caribbean rhythms. His concerts are a ritual that awakens the senses.
At age 18, he was playing percussion in a musical when the lead singer dropped out. Tyreek McDole then took his place: marking the beginning of his career as a “jazz singer.”
Born in 2000 in Florida, he is now one of the rising stars of vocal jazz.
A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory, McDole studied under saxophonist Gary Bartz, pianist Sullivan Fortner, and percussionist Weedie Braimah.
In 2018, he won the Best Vocalist award at the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival, which helped bring him national recognition. Similarly, in 2023, he became only the second man in history to win the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.
His debut album, *Open Up Your Senses*, released in 2025, blends original compositions, “freedom songs,” and “negro spirituals”. The album, characterized by his velvety tone and fluid phrasing, addresses themes such as justice, unity, and the memory of ancestors.
With his deep baritone voice and warm smile, Tyreek McDole has shared the stage with Jeff Goldblum, Terri Lyne Carrington, Nicholas Payton, Nick Jonas, and many other artists, and now performs at leading venues and festivals around the world.
Drawing on the African-American musical tradition and Haitian sounds—to which he brings his own modern touch—he invites the Monegasque audience into a space of healing and shared imagination, just as his latest album, *Chroma*, has been released.
