Special measures - Holidays celebrations in Monaco

In addition to the health security program implemented and in strict compliance with the rules in force, specific decisions have been taken by the Prince's Government for the holiday season. Social distancing rules and prevention measures are reinforced.

Before your visit or experience in our establishments, please make sure to take note of the exceptional measures during this time:

 

What are the rules in force in Monaco for Christmas Eve (December 24th) and Christmas Day (December 25th)?

 

 

On Christmas Eve only (December 24th), the curfew will be from 11:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day in the Principality.

In our hotels:

For the night of December 24th to 25th, 2020, the cerfew will start at 11:30 p.m. At this hour, people must be at their place of residence.  

In our restaurants:

On the evening of December 24th, the curfew is extended to 11:30 p.m. Restaurants must close at 9:30 p.m.

For Christmas Day (December 25th), restaurants can extend the service from noon until 4 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.

In our casinos:

The Casino de Monte-Carlo will open from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. *. Entrance tickets for the Casino de Monte-Carlo will be sold until 7 p.m.

The Casino Café de Paris will open from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. *.

Following a legal arrangement, the restaurant Le Salon Rose provides continuous service from 12 noon until the Casino de Monte-Carlo closes.

 

What are the rules in force in Monaco for New Years Eve (December 31st) and January 1st?

 

 

The 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew remains in effect. Gatherings on public roads, included the Place du Casino, are prohibited.

 

IMPORTANT : On the evening of December 31st, access to the Principality will be subject to an entry control from 7 p.m. Only residents, workers or visitors with a hotel reservation in an establishment in the Principality will be able to access.

 

In our hotels:

In order to stay in our hotels, a certificate will be requested. :

The access to the Principality will be allowed only to residents, as well as to non-residents who have a reservation in a hotel or a professional certificate. You will need to show the certificate, as well as an ID.

Our hotels' clients will receive a certificate from our Customer Service from December, 28.  

In our restaurants:

On the evening of December 31st, the curfew is maintained at 8 p.m. but restaurants will benefit from an exceptional exemption from closing at 10:30 p.m.

You will be given an exceptional certificate to justify travel outside of curfew hours.

For New Year's Day (January 1st), restaurants can extend the service from noon until 4 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.

In our casinos:

The Casino de Monte-Carlo will open from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. *. Entrance tickets for the Casino de Monte-Carlo will be sold until 8.45 p.m.

The Casino Café de Paris will open from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. *.

Following a legal arrangement, the restaurant Le Salon Rose restaurant provides continuous service from 12 noon until the Casino de Monte-Carlo closes. *

An exemption certificate will be given to you to justify travel outside curfew hours.
