A sweet fragrance wafts through the air of Monte-Carlo! The patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo will be home to the tea room and boutique of the famous French pastry chef, Cedric Grolet, starting this summer. This new collaboration reinforces the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group's taste for excellence and creativity.
After Paris, London, Saint-Tropez, Val d'Isère and Singapore, it is in Monaco, and more specifically at theHôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, that Chef Cedric Grolet is continuing to develop his creative universe, in partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. The Monegasque group has entrusted him with the reins of the patisserie at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, where he will shortly be unveiling his new location at the heart of Monaco's flagship hotel.
Crowned "World's Best Pastry Chef" by the renowned 50 Best in 2018, Chef Cedric Grolet is joining forces with the world's most Michelin-starred resort to open the Cedric Grolet Monte-Carlo tea room and boutique.
Intimate and warm, Cedric Grolet Monte-Carlo will be welcoming its customers to the patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo from breakfast onwards, with a range of fruity, savoury and, of course, sweet dishes. For lunch, treat yourself to the club sandwich, the ham and hazelnut baguette with truffle and gherkins, or the Cedric Grolet salad. And what would a tea room be without a tea time? The afternoon will be devoted to this cultural reference, combining savoury creations and Cedric Grolet's signature pastries: Lemon Flower, Mango, Vanilla Flower, Raspberry Diamond, Peanut... and new products.
For those with a sweet tooth, there's a boutique so you can enjoy the moment at home. Cakes to share and other cookies will delight the palate of those with a sweet tooth, not forgetting the inimitable trompe-l'oeil fruits and flowers, as well as seasonal pastries, created especially for the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, and renewed according to the Chef's inspiration.
With this new collaboration, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo is further extending its gastronomic dimension, which already shines around the world, with Le Louis XV Alain Ducasse***, Le Grill* and Em Sherif Monte-Carlo.
"Cedric and I have known each other since 2013, and I enjoy following his progress. He knows how to play with the codes of pastry-making and offer a resolutely contemporary vision, often surprising and always absolutely right. By welcoming him to Monaco, the Hôtel de Paris is confirming its commitment to a strong and unique culinary and pastry offering", confides Alain Ducasse.
To mark his arrival in the Principality, Chef Cedric Grolet wanted to create something exclusive for HSH Prince Albert II. This brand new pastry will be revealed this summer, when the Cedric Grolet Monte-Carlo tea room and boutique opens.
