2019 marked 40 years of Simple Minds. To celebrate these 40 iconic years, the group embarked on a major world tour, coupled with the release of their 40: The Best Of – 1979-2019 album, which includes an incredible new track – a rerecording of “For One Night Only” – as well as their Live In The City of Angels album.
Simple Minds’ Life in a Day kickstarted their incredible career back in 1979. The group soon became famous for their rousing choruses and booming atmospherics, which made them one of the most iconic bands of the Eighties. Having landed five UK #1 albums, topped the singles charts on both sides of the Atlantic, sold over 60 million albums and packed stadiums all over the world, the calibre of the band is obvious, with the Manic Street Preachers, Moby, Primal Scream and many others all citing them as their inspiration.
And, after 6 years, Simple Minds are back in Monaco, and will be performing at the Salle des Etoiles on 23 July for the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival.
