Monaco offers a rich and refined cultural scene, where artistic excellence meets exceptional venues. From orchestral concerts and operas to legendary shows, each event is an invitation to enjoy unforgettable experiences.

Operas and lyrical performances

For her fourth season at the helm of the Monte Carlo Opera, the artistic director Cecilia Bartoli is bringing opera to the fore by bringing together some of the stars of the stage: Roberto Alagna, Plácido Domingo, Sir Bryn Terfel, and mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca. They will perform opera masterpieces such as Verdi's Aida, Wagner's Die Walküre, Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, and more. But there will also be musical theater, with twenty performances of Cats and a tribute to Josephine Baker, who died just fifty years ago!

The director has put together a season that is both traditional and daring in its new forms. However, the traditional operatic identity will remain very much present.
