Backed by a six-decade career and a legendary musical heritage, the German rock band liberates its flamboyant guitars and captivating melodies for the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.
Scorpions have sold 100 million records and the hit Rock You Like a Hurricane has been covered over 150 times by different musicians. After celebrating the 40th anniversary of Love at First Sting in 2024, the album of inter-generational songs, Still Loving You and Big City Nights, the band is set to sting with a new series of concerts for its 60 years in the business. After so many years, no other rock group of this calibre has been on stage as often as these Hanover natives! Between the sharp riffs of Rudolf Schenker, the gravelly power of Klaus Meine's voice and the feverish solos of Matthias Jabs, Scorpions perform show after show with their biting energy, mixing rock, heavy metal and mythical ballads. Since 2003, the formation has counted on the groove of Pawel Maciwoda on bass and the energy of Mikkey Dee, former Motörhead drummer who joined Scorpions in 2016. Named Coming Home, the festivities of this 60th anniversary, which began in Hanover, will continue in a new show throughout 2025, with a residency in Las Vegas and a stint at Hellfest in Clisson, before infusing their euphoric venom and immortal hits in Monaco, turning Salle des Etoiles into a rock stage in keeping with their legend.
