Planning your visit to Monte-Carlo Casino

Visitors enter Monte-Carlo Casino via the main steps on the Place du Casino

Morning openings are for visitors wishing to explore its heritage. Monte-Carlo Casino is a Belle Époque architectural icon and a historic site in its own right. Visitors may take photos of some games rooms during morning sessions. 

From 2pm, the rooms are subject to specific access conditions as they are open for games and slot machine use only. 

 

Monte-Carlo Casino entry conditions

For entry to the games rooms from 2pm, visitors must: 

  • Be aged at least one day older than their 18th birthday 
  • Present a national ID card (for EU nationals) or a valid passport including a photo
    Please note: Photocopies and digital ID are not accepted.
  • Please follow the dress code

There are no age limits for entry to the Atrium, Café Rotonde, Salle Renaissance, Le Salon Rose restaurant or the Boutique, or for morning heritage visits. 

 

The Monaco casino dress code at Monte-Carlo Casino

The Monaco casino dress code is enforced at the entrance to Monte-Carlo Casino and visitors’ attire is subject to approval by Monte-Carlo Casino Management and staff. The dress code varies depending on the area and time of day. 

Morning visits and visits to areas open to all (Atrium, Salle Renaissance, Café de la Rotonde, Le Salon Rose restaurant, Boutique): 

  • You are asked to dress appropriately. 
  • T-shirts, bermuda shorts and trainers/sneakers are permitted. 

The games rooms (from 2pm): 

  • You are required to dress appropriately.  
  • Shorts (including bermuda shorts), jeans with rips or other cut-outs, sportswear, trainers, men’s flipflops and sandals, vest tops and beachwear are not permitted. 
  • T-shirts and sweatshirts are not permitted after 7pm.  

Monte-Carlo Casino opening times

  • Spaces are open for morning visits from 10am to 1pm (last entry at 12.15pm) 
  • The Atrium and boutique are open from 10am. 
  • The Le Salon Rose restaurant is open from 12 noon. 
  • The games rooms and bars are open from 2pm for adults only. 

 

Admission to Monte-Carlo Casino

Prices for morning heritage visits (including a downloadable interactive guide for smartphones):

  • Adult: €20 
  • Child (13-17 years): €15 
  • Child (6-12 years): Free

  • Included: €10 to use in the slot machines, bar or Le Salon Rose restaurant (please note that you must spend €40 or more to use this offer in the restaurant). 
  • Admission to Monte-Carlo Casino is free for My Monte-Carlo Silver, Gold or Platinum members. Members’ free access is only available when the games tables open.

Terms & conditions for admission to the games rooms at Monte-Carlo Casino

1. Admission to games rooms is not permitted to:

  • People under the age of 18 (even if legally emancipated) 
  • Uniformed members of the military of any rank or nationality 
  • Members of the clergy and religious congregations 
  • People under the influence of alcohol or drugs 
  • People who have been barred 

 

2. The following people are barred from the games rooms: 

  • People who have requested in writing that they be barred 
  • People without legal capacity, upon the written request of their legal representative or guardian 
  • People whose presence may draw opprobrium or provoke unwanted incidents, or who are otherwise considered undesirable  

 

3. Monaco residents; public servants and agents of the state, region or national public bodies; and Société des Bains de Mer employees are not permitted to gamble in the games rooms in any form, including via a third party.

Are group prices available for exploring the Casino’s heritage?

Yes, groups of 10 or more can explore Monte-Carlo Casino’s heritage from 10am to 1pm. Tickets per person are priced as follows: 

  • Adult: €17 
  • Child (13-17 years): €12 
  • Child (6-12 years): Free 

Prices per visitor include a downloadable interactive guide for smartphones

 

Is it possible to book?

It is not necessary to book entry to the Monte-Carlo Casino.
Online bookings are not currently available.

 

Is there disabled access to Monte-Carlo Casino?

Yes, a specially adapted lift is available at the Place du Casino entrance to take people with disabilities into the building. The Place du Casino’s underground car park also includes spaces for disabled people.

 

Where can I park when I’m visiting the Casino?

The Casino’s underground car park on Allée des Boulingrins is adjoined to the Casino and the closest available place to park. You can go straight from the Place du Casino to the car park via an entrance facing the garden, beside the police station.
