Spice up your spring with our delicious juices and infused waters

Feel like treating yourself to something nice? Then why not try some of our delicious juices and infused waters? These colourful, fruity and easy-to-make drinks are the perfect companion for a sunny day. A healthy alternative to sugary drinks, these special brews will help you stay hydrated, while supplying you with vitamins and other benefits found in the fruits and herbs that are used as ingredients. We’ve selected a few recipes for you to try, which are served all-year round in the Limun bar. Which one will be your favourite?

Purifying Juice 

With this cocktail, you can enjoy healthy vitamins and beautiful skin thanks to the anti-oxidant properties of Beta-carotene.

Ingredients:

  • 2 carrots (look for firm carrots with a bright orange colour)
  • 1 orange 
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 grapefruit

Steps:

  • Wash and peel the carrots, then chop them into pieces.
  • Peel the orange, lemon and grapefruit, while making sure to remove the white parts between the peel and the fruit.
  • Place the pieces in a juicer and press lightly to extract the juice from the fruits, without overheating them.
  • Filter the juice using muslin or a fine-meshed sieve.

Now drink to your heart’s content!

Detox Juice 

A few simple ingredients are all it takes to make this juice, which is jam-packed with healthy benefits for your immune system.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cm of ginger
  • 1 lemon
  • 5 clementines

Steps:

  • Peel the lemon and the clementines (make sure to remove the white portions, or “pith”) and segment them.
  • Peel the ginger
  • Place the pieces in a juicer and press lightly to extract the juice from the fruits, without overheating them.
  • Filter the juice using muslin or a fine-meshed sieve.

 Enjoy one for breakfast or all day long

Strawberry & Basil Infused Water

A few weeks ago, we asked Pascal Guarrigues from Monte-Carlo Beach to provide a few tips for creating a vegetable garden. If you happen to have a few herbs sprinkled around your own garden, then we’ve got a unique way for you to use them thanks to our infused water recipes. The young will appreciate them as a healthy, creative and inexpensive alternative, while the old will love them for their delightful flavours and hydrating, detoxifying properties.

We’ve specially selected a strawberry & basil water recipe that is sure to delight young and old alike. 

Basil is a very common herb in southern Europe and can be found in multiple culinary preparations, but did you know that it’s packed with antioxidants, vitamin K and antibacterial properties?

Combined with strawberries, this seasonal mixture makes for a healthful, mouth-watering drink.

 

Ingredients:

  • A few fresh basil leaves
  • A few strawberries
  • Water (preferably purified or non-carbonated mineral water)

The drink is easy to make: simply let the basil and strawberries infuse in the water for at least an hour before tasting...Now enjoy!
