On Saturday 21 September 2019, the most loyal customers of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, members of the My Monte-Carlo loyalty program, participated in a one-of-a-kind picnic in the Jardins des Boulingrins. The theme? “La Chance nous sourit.” Highlights of the fantastic, exciting event in 5 photos.
Garden party
Welcome to an imaginary, surreal world… Guests were amazed by this remarkable picnic's decorations. On the agenda: servers dressed as playing cards, hostesses dressed all in white, one hundred red umbrellas, a serpentine table that snaked through the Jardins des Boulingrins, where you could sit down to taste fine dishes that appeared as if by magic.
A sublime setting
For this picnic, the My Monte-Carlo team thought up a concept based on games and luck. The staging by Belgian designer Charles Kaisin made a big impression, inciting smiles and admiration from onlookers.
A Michelin-starred lunch
The gourmet, delightful lunch was designed by a group of ten chefs from different Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer restaurants. Octopus escabeche, mini chicken pies, slices of John Dory and even squash ravioli were on the gourmet menu that was met with enthusiasm by the guests. And to make summer last a little longer, the artisanal ice cream stand offered frozen refreshments during an afternoon which no one wanted to end.
Magical entertainment
The entertainment was full of endless surprises. The guests also watched sensational levitation performed by magicians, who, sitting in the spaces, turned heads and made hearts soar. The illustrator Virginie Broquet sketched guests with skilful, impressive pencil strokes. Temporary tattoos and souvenir photos also helped create lasting memories of this unique afternoon.
Game of chance
And then, a great surprise, The Umbrellas of Chance made an appearance, weaving among the guests in an exquisite ballet. Some of the balls contained presents inside, to delight the guests and perfect the enchantment of this special event. Just like finding a four-leaf clover in Monaco!
