It was important for the Opéra Monte-Carlo, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of Hector Berlioz, to reconnect with this major work in the history of French music, while respecting its integrity.

Raoul Gunsbourg, director of the Opera Monte-Carlo , in 1893 he staged Berlioz's work for the first time.

This audacity, crowned with immense success, will be seen on tour beyond the borders and the Monegasque scene will become one of the most creative theatres in Europe as a result of this brilliant move.
