On 28 May, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, the connoisseur’s hotel, are holding a piano recital followed by dinner. The virtuoso from Malta, Stefan Cassar, and the young prodigy from Monaco, Stella Almondo, age 14, will celebrate “the Invention of Modernity” in Europe and Monaco, under the glass and metal dome designed by Eiffel.
The inventor of architecture that influenced Manhattan listened to composers like Debussy and Ravel, who themselves had invented a style of music that would inspire jazz, rock and roll and contemporary music.
After the recital, a dinner will be served in Salle Belle Époque, prepared by the new chef Yannick Alléno, who will personally welcome guests.
