A prestigious ceremony

The third edition of the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 ceremony was held in London on the evening of Thursday, October 30. This annual event brings together leading professionals from the luxury hospitality and tourism industries to honour the world’s top fifty hotels. Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo earned a spot on this prestigious list, ranking 36th. Louis Starck, General Manager of Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, attended the ceremony alongside Hotel Manager Vincent Chasseignaux.

Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie

A symbol of Monegasque refinement

This distinction adds to the long list of accolades for the Monegasque palace, which has recently renewed its Three Michelin Keys and is regularly recognised for the excellence of its service and its exceptional offerings — including two Michelin-starred restaurants, access to the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, and of course, its proximity to the legendary Casino and Opéra de Monte-Carlo. The hotel’s exquisite Diamond Suites also offer guests a truly unparalleled stay.

We are very happy and immensely proud to receive this award,” said Louis Starck, recently appointed General Manager of the hotel. “This distinction highlights the exceptional offering of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer in Monaco and of its iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, a flagship of Monegasque hospitality. For over 160 years, the men and women of this legendary palace on Place du Casino have worked every day to create unforgettable moments for our guests.”

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the Jewel of Monegasque Hospitality

Built in 1864, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, with its Belle Époque architecture, is one of the jewels of the iconic Place du Casino. It was defined by François Blanc, founder of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, as “a hotel that surpasses everything that has been created so far.” 161 years later, that promise still holds true.

The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo combines the art of haute gastronomy — with its Michelin-starred restaurants Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse**, featuring a majestically decorated dining room, and Le Grill (one star), offering a panoramic view — with the modern creativity of Cedric Grolet Monte-Carlo, whose boutique and tearoom opened in the heart of the patio last July. The hotel also features Em Sherif Monte-Carlo, where guests can experience the refinement and subtleties of Lebanese cuisine facing the Mediterranean.

Clefs d'Or

A prestigious history, a daily commitment

Completely renovated in 2020 after six years of work, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has further elevated the quality of its guest experience through the creation of two exceptional new Diamond Suites: the Prince Rainier III Suite and the Princess Grace Suite, both offering panoramic views of the Principality. Below ground, the hotel’s prestigious wine cellars, founded in 1874 by Marie Blanc and recently restored, house around 350,000 exceptional bottles, as well as a small museum where priceless vintage wines are carefully preserved.

Rich in history yet constantly evolving to meet the expectations of modern travellers, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has welcomed many illustrious guests over the decades, from the Prince of Wales (the future Edward VII) to Alexandre Dumas, Jacques Offenbach, Maria Callas, Salvador Dalí, Sarah Bernhardt, Charlie Chaplin, and, of course, Sir Winston Churchill.

With its remarkable heritage and truly unique offerings, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo stands out on the international stage through the World’s 50 Best Hotels ranking — a recognition that celebrates not only the daily dedication of its teams, but also the enduring pursuit of excellence by every member of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group, for over 160 years.
