At Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, children are important, and excellent amenities make a vacation unforgettable. In addition to Kids Club, a welcoming place for children aged 3 to 12 to make crafts and play sports, we are now offering activities in the kitchen: parent-child baking classes. Calling all mini chefs!
Parent-child cooking classes: food lovers, it’s your turn!
One Wednesday a month* from 2:30-4:30 p.m., parents and kids are invited to create their favourite desserts in pairs, in a playful, creative ambiance. After an introduction for all ages, you’ll start the creation of the day: cherry-hazelnut financiers, chestnut-rum cakes or lemon tartlets… Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin provides the recipes, which vary by class. You’ll tie on your apron, measure flour and learn under the instruction of passionate professionals, who offer advice and tips every step of the way. It’s an opportunity for little ones to learn to handle textures and flavours and, for older kids, a chance to polish their skills. A creative culinary workshop, and a nice change from salt dough!
When do we eat?
At 4:30, when the smell of tasty treats fills the kitchen, we’ll try the day’s creations together, with tea or coffee, in a warm and friendly ambiance. Then, you’ll leave with the recipe, so you can make it again at home. Cheers for the cooks!
*classes are held on Wednesday 18 December, 22 January, 5 February and 11 March
Baking, among other things
Do you dream of being like Wawrinka, Grosjean or even Toulalan? You’ll have to tie an apron on, because these athletes have all been to a cooking class at Monaco Bay Hotel & Resort taught by Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin and his team. If you were wondering, Toulalan pulled off a spectacular rack of lamb with herbs! You can pretend you’re at Le Cordon Bleu by taking a gastronomy, aperotherapy or snackonomy class like they did, guided by experts. During this hands-on experience, you’ll learn to create savoury dishes that anyone can make, using fresh ingredients. In the evening, you’ll get to share with your guest and taste wine selected for perfect pairings.
Sweet and savoury moments in the Principality
Do you want to relax during the holiday season? Until 5 January 2020, gather at Snow Stars, the winter pop-up from Blue Gin, where from 3-5:30 p.m., you can choose from a selection of Christmas teas, hot chocolate and pastries, around board games.
Need inspiration on the weekend? Every Saturday and Sunday at L’Orange Verte, chef Marcel Ravin’s homestyle roasted chicken can be enjoyed at the restaurant or as takeaway (note: orders must be placed 24 hours in advance). Food lovers can choose a classic French pastry, from the eclair to the Paris-Brest…unless they are tempted by the “Tchôk”, a deconstructed seasonal fruit tart! These treats are available on the spot or for takeaway. At Christmastime, inventive bûches de Noël are also for sale, in slices or for 4, 6 or 8 people (€12 a piece, order the night before).
Every season, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort holds a brunch with dishes suited to the present moment. In winter, head to Blue Bay for the Champagne Brunch Party, a colourful buffet enjoyed in a comfortable setting. When the weather is nice, sit on the patio at Las Brisas for a musical brunch in the sun, between the sea and the lagoon! With Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin at the helm, these two events were elected Best Brunch in the Principality by L’Observateur de Monaco.
