Monaco Sculptures

Artcurial Sculpture Trail
From Wednesday 1 May to Friday 30 August 2019

As part of Monaco Art Week, which will bring together local artists from 24 to 28 April 2019, at the same time as the Art Monte-Carlo and PAD Monaco shows, Artcurial will inaugurate this new space with an exhibition of 20th century sculptures.

These works, unveiled for the first time, will be part of the new Monaco Sculptures art and culture project, developed by Artcurial, in partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, for the summer of 2019. The sculptures will be auctioned off in July 2019.

  • Dates: April to July
  • Auction: 19 July at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo

This cultural event, open to all throughout the summer, will bring together a carefully selected collection of sculptures by artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Takis, César, Arman, Bernar Venet, Wang Du and Richard Deacon.

During an artistic stroll through the streets of the Principality, visitors will discover a panorama of modern and contemporary sculptural creation, monumental or not.

The works will be brought together at the end of April, during Monaco Art Week, in the form of an outdoor art trail, through the entire Resort Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer: Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, Monte-Carlo Beach, etc.

The smaller sculptures will be exhibited at 3/9 Boulevard des Moulins in Monaco, the new address of Artcurial Monaco.

Finally, the works presented will be auctioned on 19 July, at the same time as the Jewellery, Collection Watches and Hermès Vintage sales that will take place at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo.
