Located on the water’s edge, the timeless Monte-Carlo Beach stretches out along the shore, with its stunning natural surroundings enveloping it in endless shades of blue and green.
As you step into the legendary hotel, you surrender yourself to an easy Mediterranean way of life: a delicate blend of elegant simplicity, luscious relaxation, and a sense of being at one with nature.
Imagine you had an entire day to get away from it all, and enjoy a delightful interlude here: a committedly sustainable hotel that has been Green Globe-certified since 2014. How would you spend yours…?
Far from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, a wonderfully chic and intimate destination awaits you: the Monte-Carlo Beach, where the waves of the Mediterranean lap at the door. Make the most of the incredible vistas and soft morning light to gently awaken your senses to a brand-new day – perhaps with a session of outdoor meditation or yoga, tucked between the sea and sweet-smelling pines? A coach is on hand to guide you if you so wish. If you’d prefer a livelier start, why not go for an aquabike or aquagym session, or even an invigorating hike along the coastal path! What better way to kick off a day of wellbeing and living in the moment!
Time for breakfast on the terrace at Elsa, complete with some simply stunning sea views! The menu includes all kinds of organic, seasonal fruit, aged cheeses and organic yoghurts.
Eggs are also cooked to order, and served alongside fresh, local vegetables. As you eat, enjoy the soothing sound of the waves lapping at the hotel’s private beach.
After your delicious start to the day, it seems only right to hit the beach – so why not check out the Monte-Carlo Beach’s new-look private beach, with furnishings inspired by far-off places, exquisite woodwork, a stretch of fine, white sand and more! It slopes gently down to the sea, just like Elsa Maxwell – the renowned American personality who famously put the hotel on the map – intended it to do all the way back in 1929. With its famous striped canvas cabanas providing the backdrop and bespoke cabana service available, this is the perfect spot for a little leisurely sunbathing – and a dip or two, of course.
At this point, it’s time to head to Le Deck, and the shady columns of the pergola. Not only does the restaurant look out over the gleaming, palm-lined Olympic pool, it also enjoys stunning views across the bay and serves delicious, seasonal food that is made for sharing. Dishes are creative, hearty, and celebrate Mediterranean cuisine, with seafood the star of the show and a market-led menu making the very most of the catch of the day.
Le Deck also takes diners around the world with its themed Mediterranean weeks: this summer, they’ll be heading to northwest Africa from 13 to 18 June, and showcasing Spanish cuisine from 19 to 24 September. That’s not all, either: you’ll find the chefs serving up all kinds of delicious dishes made for sharing with friends and family during Sundays at Le Deck (September-June): think roast chicken, couscous, paella, and much, much more…
After lunch, make your way to the poolside Monte-Carlo Beach Bar & Glacier. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a post-lunch cup of coffee, or round off your meal with something sweet from our menu of homemade ice creams and sorbets. Before long, you're also sure to be tempted by a few lengths in the iconic Olympic pool: with its blue glass tiles, famous pontoon and two diving boards, there’s something about it that is difficult to resist... and the heated, ozone-sanitised seawater really is delightful.
Whether you’re looking for pampering or pure adrenaline, you’ll find it at the Monte-Carlo Beach. For a moment of utter relaxation, go for a signature spa treatment by Paoma, a luxury, eco-friendly, ethical and vegan French beauty brand and one of the hotel’s new green partners. Treat yourself to a session of total wellbeing with a whole range of options to choose from: from a bespoke Paoma treatment or Swedish massage to an Awaken the Senses facial ritual, a Bring out the Beauty ritual and more… Or perhaps you’d prefer a more entertaining way to let off some steam? From parasailing to fly fish riding, wake surfing, tubing, water skiing and more, one thing is for certain: the water sports at the Monte-Carlo Beach Club are sure to get you glowing with excitement!
When summer arrives and the sun dips below the horizon into the Mediterranean, La Vigie Lounge & Restaurant reopens its doors – and its terrace – to kick your evenings off in style. Tucked away in an LPO-listed bird reserve on a natural balcony overlooking the sea, La Vigie offers Balinese-inspired decor, casual vibes, and live DJ sets. The perfect, romantic setting – complete with magical views – for sipping a glass of champagne or signature cocktail and losing yourselves in the endless, dancing waves.
For dinner, head to Elsa, the hotel’s fully organic and MSC-certified fine dining restaurant. At the helm is young chef Mélanie Serre, a passionate champion of elegant, delicious, and eco-friendly food. Expect seasonal cooking that celebrates produce from local suppliers and the hotel’s own organic kitchen garden! A creative and sustainable approach to haute cuisine of the highest quality.
