Exceptional guests

Many personalities from the world of fashion and culture were guests of honour at this very first event. Among them was French actress Isabelle Huppert, who took a few hours off from promoting the film The Richest Woman in the World, which opens on 29 October and in which she plays the lead role. Also in attendance were models and actresses Eva Herzigová, Cindy Bruna and Natalia Vodianova, model Kitty Spencer and wealthy businesswoman Pansy Ho.

The evening also featured key players in the world of fine jewellery, including Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, Frédéric Grangié, CEO of Chanel, Nathalie Verdeille, artistic director of jewellery and fine jewellery at Tiffany&Co., Thierry Vasseur, senior vice president of Jewellery and High Jewellery at Tiffany&Co., Ludovic Watine, managing director of Dior Couture France & Monaco, Marie-Noëlle Barrère, CEO of BVLGARI France, and Giuseppina Cannizzaro, director of Haute Couture and High Jewellery at Dolce&Gabbana.

The 2025 Grand Prix: CHANEL, the grace of a gesture

The 2025 Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie was awarded to CHANEL for the Sweater Necklace, from the Haute Joaillerie Sport collection (2024). Designed by the Maison's Jewellery Design Studio, the piece embodies the free spirit and movement dear to Gabrielle Chanel: a supple construction and graphic design where technical virtuosity meets fluidity of movement. The necklace combines 18K white gold, platinum, diamonds, onyx and 11 emerald-cut emeralds totalling 37.18 carats. Its language is resolutely contemporary: visible connection systems, quick fasteners, and a sports cord developed especially by CHANEL. The transformable set can be worn as a ‘sweater’ without emeralds or as a choker highlighted with emeralds. The matching earrings can also be worn with or without stones. This functional aesthetic embodies elegance in action and attests to exceptional inventiveness and craftsmanship.

A celebration of fine jewellery craftsmanship in Monaco

Conceived as a cultural landmark in the ultra-luxury calendar, the Grand Prix highlights the value chain, from gem sourcing to workshop craftsmanship, with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer as the creative theatre, a place where jewellery's commentary on our times is celebrated, transmitted and questioned. As a showcase for a sector that is generally discreet, not to say secretive, the event sets new trends in several stages: an exhibition in the city, a dinner and fashion show, a ceremony and a celebration. The evening ended at Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo, an iconic venue in the Principality. The message is clear: fine jewellery is not just a heritage, it is a vibrant present bursting with creativity.
