In Monaco, there’s always fun to be had no matter the season. And while the Principality has plenty of activities all year round, the summer season still lends itself more to the adventurous spirit. Whether you’re looking for someplace to eat, walk, explore or swim, you’ll find a multitude of activities to enjoy under the Monaco sun. For a taste of what’s to come, here is a selection of activities to whet your appetite.
Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the Principality of Monaco places a premium on water-based activities. A sandy-bottom lagoon, Balinese-style beds, floating breakfast, the Sea Bay area… Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort offers plenty of activities for a relaxing day or weekend by the water, each one more soothing than the last. As for Monte-Carlo Beach, the ultimate summer hotel, its Olympic-sized heated seawater swimming pool is a Monegasque icon. Take a moment to unwind with family or friends, while admiring the divers. At Les Cabanas, you’ll enjoy exclusive services and the cosiness of a private beach. The word “relaxation” is not to be taken lightly here! Lastly, guests at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo will have exclusive access to the sunbeds and cabanas of the Wellness Sky Club, a luxurious wellness oasis on the hotel’s rooftop terrace, with a private pool and a unique view of the harbour and the old city...
This summer, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer’s casinos have concocted a special slate of events that will allow you to safely enjoy the games—including a live version of the famous French roulette. In the prestigious Salle des Amériques, located in the heart of the legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo, eight comfortable player spots have been equipped with touchscreen interfaces, allowing you to enjoy fun and entertainment in the most luxurious gaming establishment on the French Riviera. And from Thursday to Sunday, a DJ will perform a live set in the Casino de Monte-Carlo, promising an unforgettable evening for players and their guests.
Just a short walk away lies the courtyard of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, which will be dressed up like a tropical garden starting in mid-July. For just a few weeks, this hub of jewellery will be transformed into a luscious space, with musical entertainment, signature cocktails and other chilled refreshments—the perfect place for a lovely stroll. When night falls, be sure to stop by Le Bar Américain for the soothing sounds of its live music group, which helps give the place its unique, jazzy and cosy atmosphere.
The summer holidays will feature a number of open-air festivities that are sure to delight the whole family, right in the heart of the Principality. In One Monte-Carlo, for example, shops will stay open at night every Thursday starting from 16 July. Accompanied by a live band and a classy, bohemian atmosphere, you’ll enjoy a relaxing stroll while nibbling on an appetiser platter prepared by Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo during the "Tropical vibes in the Patio" event. And on Thursday 6 and 13 August, as part of our “Garden Evenings” festivities, you’ll even get to participate in our lovely picnic events, which are equal parts chic and rustic.
A stone’s throw away, on the Place du Casino, be sure to stop by the swing seat specially installed by the flower shop Stanislas Ducreux: it’s THE perfect spot for a photograph!
Everyone knows about Monaco’s casinos, Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrated monuments, but let’s also not forget that the country has made a name for itself as a destination of choice for clubbers. This summer will be no exception, as our bars are ready to bring you the very best that Monegasque nightlife has to offer.
Revisit your classic chill-outs and world music favourites at Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo, while enjoying a nuanced menu filled with Eastern and Western influences. For a change of scenery, look no further than COYA Monte-Carlo. The restaurant has added a number of bold and delicious options to its menu this summer, in the same style as the vibrant, fusion cuisine that has made it a big hit for two years running. The restaurant also owes its success to its live electro sets, which radiate (good) vibes until the break of dawn. Not far from here, at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, the Blue Gin bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a signature cocktail on an expansive terrace, with a superb view of the Mediterranean Sea. And at the same resort, an enchanting lagoon will provide a magical ambiance to add colour to your weekends, from Thursday to Sunday, with a DJ and a magician to entertain parents, children...and anyone who’s still a child at heart!
