Each year, the Formula 1 Tag Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco brings a buzzing sense of excitement to the whole Principality. It is fair to say that, between the practices sessions, qualifying rounds and races, there is always something going on! But this legendary sporting event is about more than the race itself, as the fabulous gastronomic symphony orchestrated by the restaurants of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer has helped to win much of its renown. Below, we have selected our gourmet top tips themed around 10 ambiances.

#1 - Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo: Gastronomy for lunch and dinner

Louis XV - Alain Ducasse à l'Hôtel de Paris, Le Grill, Em Sherif, the Bar Américain… Our luxury Palace restaurants are the place for a delicious break from the track throughout the Monaco Grand Prix.

Connoisseurs who want to keep one eye on the race will be delighted to tuck into a gastronomic meal as they gaze out over the track from the terrace of the Louis XV - Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel de Paris.

The terrace of the Em Sherif restaurant will offer a generous and colorful Lebanese cuisine to live the race instantly. 

On the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo’s eighth floor, the Michelin-starred Le Grill offers equally outstanding and unique views over the racetrack.

As for the Bar Américain, its usual opulent, jazzy ambiance takes on a slightly more frenetic beat, making it an essential place to visit for lunch, dinner or a few drinks during the Monaco Grand Prix.

This elegant and extremely charming restaurant is in the heart of the hotel’s Beaumarchais lobby. It is the place to try a gourmet coffee or lunch as you get ready to take the plunge back into the Monaco Grand Prix. Not far from the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Square Beaumarchais is a pop-up shop with a takeout snacks and drinks menu, so you can stay close to the action while you eat.

#4 - Delicious gastronomic itineraries at the Blue Bay Marcel Ravin

The Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort's two-starred restaurant welcomes gourmets with a poetic culinary score, between Creole and Mediterranean, presented by Chef Marcel Ravin. From Wednesday, May 21 to Sunday, May 25, the Chef will be concocting specialty menus, with the possibility of enjoying a wine and food pairing.
